I didn’t, but I did want to – it’s the reason I choose to study Physics at A’ Level. However, astronomy and astrophysics are very specific subjects, and for your GCSEs and A’ Levels, science and physics introduces you to more general principles.

Hi Anderson, I didn’t, and I also didn’t get any of that at university!
Astronomy and Astrophysics are not really needed for space travel, at least nowadays, when we are bound to go not farther than the Solar system boundaries. All what you need to know to be a space engineer is the mechanics of celestial bodies.

On the other hand, I am very fascinated by both of them, so I like to study them in my free time, reading books, websites and watching documentaries about it.

I didn’t learn a lot about astronomy and astrophysics when I was at school but wish that I had! There is still lot’s for me to learn too but if you’re interested there are lot’s of great ways to learn about it. Start off with the basics (like recognising constellations from just looking at the night sky) and build from there!

      Hi Anderson,

I’m afraid not. Maths, Physics, Biology and Electronics A-levels for me.
