• Question: does it get boring in Antarctica?

      Hey 8P form,

      I was worried it might do before coming out here but it hasn’t been the case at all (fortunately!).

      Aside from the research (which keeps me pretty busy!) I have lot’s to do. For example I enjoy sport, going for walks in the snow outside, climbing 40m high up one of the scientific towers to get a good view, photography, drawing, watching movies and hanging out with the crew. I’m on a French/ Italian base so i’m trying to learn some languages too!

      We are lucky as we have a great chef working here called Luca and he organises parties for us every Saturday and for special occasions. It’s amazing what he can come up with considering our limited selection of food supplies! He’s Italian so the pizza, pasta and ice cream is fairly epic too!
