      Hi Gibson!

Concordia is formed of two towers, each with approx 750m2 of floor space. So it’s fairly large for 13 people!

The reason it is built as two towers is so that if we had a fire in one building we could move and live in the other. This is a model that they are also considering for future settlements on different planets, like Mars.

Its an amazing place to live and sometimes I forget that I am still on Earth! Especially when we didn’t see the sun for over 100 days during the long polar night!!

The thing that took me the longest to get used to was just how cold it could get outside!! During the winter it was as low as -81.4C and if you consider the windchill sub -100C!!

Have you ever thought about visiting Antarctica?
