• Question: How is the team for the ISS selected?

      Hi 11P SHS,

      As Beth mentioned the link below is a good way to understand what you need to be an astronaut.

      But of course even after you “graduate” to being an astronaut it doesnt automatically guarantee that you will fly to ISS.

      At the moment we fly about 12 astronauts a year. Of these on average one every 1 to 2 years will be an ESA astronaut.

      Selection then comes down to your experience, your nationality, your skills but probably most of all your luck….. 😉
