I think that the question is not properly asked, because it is not complete. To make the question complete, you should also specify what is the reference system.If you watch the Earth from above the North Pole (i.e. you consider a reference system with the North Pole up and the South Pole down), then the Earth spins counter clockwise.
But if you look at the Earth from the South Pole, which is the way Beth should think considering that she is in Antarctica, then the Earth spins clockwise! 😉
