I have always been interested in space and space exploration. I think there is something exciting about finding out about the unknown. I guess that’s why i’m working in research too!

I also like the space industry because of the way that different countries and teams work together towards something which we could never dream of achieving alone. It makes you feel part of the something bigger than yourself.

COL FD (Simon): Hi Octokoala, LOZ and Ciaran,

Humans have an insatiable appetite for exploration. It’s been in our blood since our ancestors made their way along the coastlines of Africa to colonize the rest of the planet.

What I love about Space is that is one of the new frontiers where exploration and discoveries are being made in all branches of science and technology.

As we physically go farther from this planet we will also be challenged in new areas of psychology, sociology, law and even politics.

Finally if you look at how prevalent images of space and space exploration are in Music Videos, films and tv-series you can all see that it is even impacting art and the media.

So you see that what I love about Space and Space exploration is that there is something for everyone not just in the UK but all over the planet: When we look up at the sky at night we all see the same stars!
