      For me, the next big thing in space is discovering a way to travel faster in space.

      For me, the next big thing in space should be cheap routine access to space. If we can bring the price per kilo to Leo Earth Orbit (LEO) from 1000pounds to under a 100pounds it wont be only space agencies and their contractors that can launch people into space, it will be all sorts of companies/institutions for all sorts of reasons. It would foster an explosion of activities!
