• Question: whats the worst thing that has happened in antartica

      Hi Minonsareyellow,

      We have been really lucky in that no serious problems have occurred during this winter. We do lots of training though to make sure that if something did happen we are prepared.

      For example all of the crew are trained to help in the operating theater and as part of the fire crew. We have also done a full evacuation where we moved base to our summer camp so we would know what to do if the base was destroyed.

      I guess the worse thing for me has been missing my friends and family back home!
