Question: why are you wearing sunglasses when its absolutely freezing cold in antartica?

Although it is really cold the sun is actually really bright here! In fact the sunlight is greater here because it is also reflected off the white snow. If you don’t protect your eyes for even short periods you can get what is called ‘snow blindness’ which can be serious. Plus I like my sunnies 😉
