      Hi Imo, Jake and Clarke,
since we started to walk on our feet, humanity has always had the inner push to explore, to arrive to see beyond what is beyond the horizon. And every time we have listened to this push and we have explored, something good has come out of it. Maybe it was a better knowledge of our planet, of our origins, of ourselves. Or else development of technologies that have also helped the ones who remained back at home in their normal life.

You can’t know in advance what good will come from that, but I think we should keep listening to this push we have inside of us and for sure something good will come also from Mars!

      Hi guys,

I think that we should always strive to learn and achieve new things. That’s why i’m working in research 🙂 . I find the unknown fascinating and without it I think life would get pretty boring!

I believe that lot’s of new technology will be developed and we will learn lot’s of new things from research through sending an astronaut to Mars.

Often things we find out from space research are also useful in our day to day lives! For example, one of my experiments here is investigating the effect of using artificial lighting for long periods of time on the eyes (we didn’t see the sun for over 100 days during the long polar night!!). As well as being useful for astronauts in space this is of interest to lot’s of people in the UK. For example those who work on night shifts, like factory workers, also spend long periods of time working in artificial light…
