• Question: How long do you think it will be until we are able to have a moonbase?

      Hi!
      It all depends on how much brain power we put in it.
      We have all the basic technologies for it, it’s just matter of putting them together, developing at a good enough level and finding a good mission design. If we worked on it hard enough, I think we could be able to have a moon base in 10 years.

      But this is not what seems to be happening, space research is not getting so many funds lately. So it could take several decades before we are able to have a moonbase, or even more than that! 🙁

      The sooner the better!

      As Sergio says it depends mostly on money and therefore politics though. I think that with development of space tourism though perhaps things will be speeded along!
