Question: What have you learnt about Pluto so far?

Hi there!
We don’t work directly for the New Horizons mission, so for news about Pluto discoveries we have to rely on news they post on internet, as you also do 😉I just read today that they have found out that Pluto has a blue sky, similar to Earth! They also found some water ice in some places on the surface, but they still haven’t understood how that has formed and why only in certain places.
Don’t you think it’s amazing that there are still so many things we don’t know about our Solar system?

As Sergio says that’s the great thing about Space there is still so much left for us to explore and discover. The New Horizons project is certianly really interesting. Here is a recent video update they made which I found pretty interesting!

Hehe, it’s hard to say “how much” you don’t know if you don’t know it 🙂
But to give you an idea: the planet that we know best and have explored most is Mars, and the rovers on it have moved for no more than 40 miles.
If you compared it to Earth, this would mean that we’d have not even explored London and all its surroundings, and for the rest we have only seen it from the Orbit, some hundreds mile above.
And that’s the easiest planet to reach! Who know how is Venus surface? Or Jupiter, Saturn and Uranus low layers? 🙂
